Don’t believe everything you read about Brangelina these days. Even though the world is eagerly awaiting Ian Halperin’s upcoming book Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie — which promises plenty of juicy details about the seemingly perfect couple — they still seem as happy as ever.

The duo showed up at the afterparty for George Clooney’s new movie Up in the Air Monday night, where they kicked back in casual gear (see the picture above) and mingled with guests. You wouldn’t know they have six kids from their 12:15 am arrival time, but they spent the whole evening side by side, without a single tragic fight.

Another attendee told Usmagazine.com, “Brangelina seemed happy together,” and added that the couple was “inseparable” throughout the night. Angie ate tomatoes and talked to Clooney’s new lady Elisabetta Canalis, still finding time to act the activist that she is as she discussed the horrors of fur with actress Vera Farmiga. As for Brad, he asked guests about their Thanksgiving holidays and “seemed genuinely interested in their response.”

Brangelina left around 1:30 am, holding hands. Take that, Halperin: He estimated that the duo will break up by the end of next year, but we’re not convinced yet.
