LOS Angeles is supposedly the home of the body beautiful, but an Aussie had the best on the beach yesterday, when Jennifer Hawkins posed at Santa Monica in a bikini of her own design.

Wearing a ruffled hot-pink and tangerine two-piece from her label, Cozi, Hawkins quickly attracted the attention of the Hollywood paparazzi as she modelled to spruik a Myer fashion show in Los Angeles tonight that forms part of G’Day USA, an event aimed at promoting Australian products and creativity in the US, The Australian reports.

Yeojin Bae, Camilla and Marc, Nicola Finetti and Aurelio Costarella are among 10 Australian designers whose clothes will be showcased to celebrities, the film industry and business leaders during a gala dinner at the Hotel Renaissance.

“It’s an amazing opportunity to put Aussie designers in the spotlight,” Hawkins said yesterday.

Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Jimmy Barnes and Olivia Newton-John are among the guests who will attend the dinner.
