Oct 21 : Mariah Carey has revealed that she had second thoughts before marrying singer Nick Cannon.

The 38-year-old pop star wed Cannon in the Bahamas in April (08) after a six-week whirlwind romance.

When asked what the reason behind the second thoughts, she said – their 10-year age gap.

However, the ”Touch My Body” said that she”s convinced their love will be lasting, because her marriage to music mogul Tommy Mottola – 20 years her senior – was a “disaster”.

“You know what, I did. But he doesn”t act like it (younger) – he”s really very intelligent,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

“He”s a very business-minded person, but he”s also a lot of fun so you don”t really think about those things. It is what it is.

“I”ve been with someone older and that could be a disaster or maybe you have to throw that side away and don”t think about it – think about who”s right for you,” she added.

Carey and Mottola split in 1998 after five years of marriage.
