Avatar actress Zoe Saldana has revealed that there was a steamy sex scene in the Avatar movie, but apparently the director James Cameron had to delete it, so as to keep his PG 13 rating intact.

However the deletes sex scene would be present in the special edition DVD release of the movie. The movie was released on 10th December and it will quickly rose to the top of the charts and grossed a whopping $1 billion in the box office takings. It is a very ambitious tale of a battle between the indigenous inhabitants against others who are interested in expansion.

Zoe Saldana takes about the shooting of the sex scene, “If you sync to your banshee and you’re syncing to a tree, why not sync into a person? I almost feel like you’ll have the most amazing orgasm, I guess. It was a very funny scene to shoot because there were so many technical things that sometimes you have to keep in mind that paying attention to all those might disrupt the fluidity of how a scene is supposed to take place.”

Box office collection of Avatar was great. “This thing is going to be playing and playing, I can tell you that,” said Bert Livingston, 20th Century Fox distribution executive. “There’s a lot of business out there. Everybody’s got good movies out.”
