Sophie Monk has broken up with her plastic surgeon boyfriend Dr John Diaz.

Announcing the news on 2DayFM’s breakfast show yesterday, Monk said: “He is a lovely guy and we’re still really good friends so there is nothing crazy about the split.

Sometimes it just doesn’t work out – especially with me.”

In a move which will fuel gossip her acting career is flatlining, Monk has joined the radio show as its Los Angeles correspondent – odd given co-host Kyle Sandilands spends so much time there.
